GENERAL INFORMATION:
The congregation meets for worship, teaching,
and fellowship in a facility located near the
Highway 14 and 3rd Avenue
interchange. It is located in a
modest residential neighborhood known at
Columbia and Germania Parks. The church
is an independent Baptist congregation with a
desire to fulfill the commission of Jesus to
his disciples in Matthew 28:19-20.
There are presently two pastors, nine deacons
and five deaconesses who are elected by the
congregation. There is a statement of
faith and a church covenant. The body
is incorporated as a non-profit religious
corporation in the State of Minnesota.

HISTORY:
Grace Baptist Church was incorporated in 1957
with seven charter members. Two lots
and the building that were on them were
purchased for $13,000 and the first services
were held the second Sunday of November.
Pastor John Michel was called to give
pastoral leadership and the various programs
and outreaches have developed during the past
four decades. The ministry now includes
Sunday School, worship, preaching and
teaching services, weekly television ministry
on KEYC-TV and CCTV, dial-a-meditation
telephone service, Awana youth clubs,
parenting groups, support groups,
Christian Day School, Campus Bible Fellowship
organization at Minnesota State University
and Campus House at 1232 Highland Avenue and
missionary outreach on five continents. The Free Press Article
