SUNDAY SCHOOL
Our classes and small groups will meet every Sunday at
10:00 AM. You are invited to
participate in a Bible study and discussion that will enrich your life with
truth and Christian friends.
We welcome the
faculty and students at Minnesota State University in Mankato, Bethany Lutheran
College, Rasmussen College, South Central Technical College and Gustavus
Adolphus College in St. Peter. Our
community is alive with young people and we wish to always make them feel welcome
at this place of worship.

Music, prayer, giving, preaching and an invitation are
each an important part of our worship.
There are supervised nurseries and pre-school church
sessions in the east wing.
Children from grades 1 to 3 will
be dismissed for children's church during the message.

SUMMER SINGERS REHEARSAL
The final
rehearsal for summer singers will be tonight before the evening service at 6:00
PM.
FALL CHOIR MEETING
Next Sunday at
6:30 PM there will be an organizational meeting for the adult church
choir. People who are interested in
this music ministry and are 9th grade and older are invited to
participate. The session will be in the
Learning Center.
ST. PETER CABLE SYSTEM
We are back on
the air on public access in St. Peter.
“IBM” is released at 4:30 PM each Monday and beginning in September, the
telecast will be aired at both 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM each Monday.
TOLEDO,
SPAIN SUNDAY!
On Sunday, September 5, Larry and Jane
Parks and Joshua (?) will bring guests Jesus, Montse and Ruth (age 14) with
them to Grace Baptist Church to tell us about their ministries in Toledo,
Spain. They plan to arrive on Saturday
and will stay until Monday.
JANITOR
POSITION OPEN
The position of church custodian will
be open beginning September 6, 1999.

PROJECTS COMPLETED
The little house
school building has been given an interior face lift thanks to Betty Roettger
and the volunteers that she has recruited. You are welcome to stop in and take
a look. Michelle Scott will teach Grace
Christian School grades 4-5. Charles
and Melanie Johnson teach grade 4-6 in Sunday School.

CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
The Learning Center classes will start
on Tuesday, August 31. Classes for K-5
will begin on Tuesday, September 7. For
more information about our K-12 grade Christian educational program, please
inquire at the office. Our principal is
David Wishart and teachers are Margene Solt, Linda Hoogendyk, Michelle Scott,
Ann Borchardt, David Miller and Linda Rousselow.
DONALD
GEARY SCHOLARSHIP
It was announced last Sunday that
Charity Wishart has been awarded the Donald Geary Scholarship this year. She is a freshman at Maranatha Baptist Bible
College in Watertown, Wisconsin.
COSTA RICA CAMP OFFERING
A total of
$306.72 was given at junior camp to help sponsor campers to attend the camps
directed by missionary Danny White in Costa Rica. Rachel Carlson plans to help at the camps in January.
Rick Powers has announced the first meeting for CBF will be this Tuesday at 8:00 PM in the basement of the campus house at 1232 Highland Ave.
Pastor and Mrs. Michel will leave on
their “independent study and friendship tour” to the Middle East on September
9, 1999.
SURGERY
Judy Stenzel is scheduled for back
surgery tomorrow at the Spine Clinic at Abbot Northwestern Hospital in
Minneapolis.

Dave Hooge
arranged for the west hall doors to be sandblasted and repainted to match the
hall décor. Mel Herme assisted
him. Ask them what the doors weighed.
